Welcome to Diffrentials.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Diffrentials website and platform available at https://www.diffrentials.in/ (the “Service”).

By accessing or using Diffrentials, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. About Diffrentials

Diffrentials is an educational platform designed to help medical students and other learners practice clinical reasoning through interactive clinical cases, diagnostic exercises, and related educational content.

Diffrentials is not a healthcare provider, medical consultation service, or emergency medical service.

5. Clinical and Educational Content

Diffrentials provides educational material intended to help users develop clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills.

Clinical cases, explanations, answers, scores, recommendations, and other content on the Service are provided for educational purposes only. They should not be treated as:

  • Medical advice
  • A diagnosis
  • A treatment recommendation
  • A substitute for a qualified healthcare professional
  • A substitute for institutional clinical protocols or guidelines

Medical knowledge changes over time, and educational content may contain errors, omissions, or information that becomes outdated.

Do not use Diffrentials to make decisions about the diagnosis, treatment, or management of an actual patient.

6. AI-Generated Content

Certain features of Diffrentials may use artificial intelligence.

AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or inappropriate in certain circumstances. AI-generated content should therefore be independently evaluated and should not be treated as authoritative medical guidance.

You remain responsible for how you use and interpret AI-generated content.

7. User-Generated Content

If Diffrentials allows you to submit answers, comments, feedback, case-related information, or other content (“User Content”), you retain ownership of your User Content to the extent you have rights in it.

By submitting User Content, you grant Diffrentials a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, process, and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, and provide the Service.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information derived from User Content for analytics, research, product improvement, and educational purposes.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to submit any User Content.

8. Patient Information

Do not submit identifiable information about real patients to Diffrentials. This includes, but is not limited to: patient names, phone numbers, addresses, medical record numbers, photographs, identifying documents, or any combination of information that could reasonably identify a patient. Diffrentials is not intended to function as an electronic medical record, patient-management system, or repository for clinical records.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Service and its contents—including the Diffrentials name, branding, logo, software, interface, clinical cases, questions, explanations, graphics, text, and other materials—are owned by or licensed to Diffrentials and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, publicly display, modify, or create derivative works from Diffrentials' proprietary content without our prior written permission, except where such use is permitted by applicable law.

10. Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or other feedback regarding Diffrentials, you agree that we may use that feedback without compensation or obligation to you. Feedback may be used to improve, develop, or modify the Service and its features.

11. Third-Party Services

Diffrentials may rely on or integrate with third-party services, including authentication providers, hosting providers, databases, analytics services, and AI services. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, security, functionality, or policies of third-party services that we do not control.

12. Service Availability

We aim to keep Diffrentials available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, operate without interruption, be completely secure, be free from bugs or errors, be compatible with every device or browser, or always contain accurate or current information.

We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

13. Accounts and Termination

You may stop using Diffrentials at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity, your use creates a security or operational risk, we are required to do so by law, or we discontinue the relevant Service.

Where appropriate, we may provide notice before taking action. However, we may act immediately when necessary to protect the Service, users, or third parties.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Diffrentials is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service, including warranties concerning accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Diffrentials and its operators, contributors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.

This includes losses arising from reliance on educational content, AI-generated content, interruptions to the Service, loss of data, or unauthorized access.

16. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Diffrentials and its operators, contributors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, violation of applicable law, infringement of another person's rights, or content you submit to the Service.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means. The updated Terms will become effective when posted unless a different effective date is specified.

Your continued use of Diffrentials after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other terms expressly incorporated into the Service, constitute the agreement between you and Diffrentials regarding your use of the Service.
